KENNETH ROSS BOARD Kenneth Ross Board, 79, Evansville, Ind., died Feb. 10, 2007, at home. He was born May 19, 1927, in Breckinridge County, the second son of Ava Board and Callie Ross Board. He served in the United States Army, 11th Airborne, as a paratrooper in Japan during World War II. He and his brother, William, were in Japan at the same time. He graduated from Meade County High School. While in school, he worked for James and Thelma Willis at the Meade County Messenger. There he learned the printing trade and continued in the printing business his entire career. He was an avid golfer and loved to travel. He was a devoted member of the Primitive Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Smith Board; his parents; a brother, William Curtis Board in 2004; and an infant sister, Roberta Mae. Mr. Board is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Lou Eagle, Trenton, Tenn.; a grandson, Bryan Gilliland, Evansville, Ind.; a brother, Ava Board Jr., Cheyenne, Wyo.; a nephew; and two nieces. Funeral services were held Feb. 15 from the chapel of Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs. Internment was in Rosedale Cemetery, Dawson Springs.
