JAKE ANTHONY SELTER Jake Anthony Selter, 21, Battletown, died Feb. 18, 2007, at the T.J. Sampson Medical Center, Cave City. He was a lifelong student in Meade County and a 2003 graduate of Brandenburg High School. Jake will be remembered as an accomplished artist in the gifted and talented program and earned many awards for his art. He was a wonderful musician and enjoyed playing his guitar and competing in the Battle of the Bands during his high school years. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Stella Selter. Mr. Selter is survived by his parents, Mike and Dottie Selter, Battletown; his brother, Dusk Selter; his grandfather, Art Selter Sr., Pee Wee Valley; nine uncles, David Selter, Dan Selter, Mark Selter, Tim Selter, Artie Selter, David Scott, Woodrow Scott, Tom Scott and Bill Scott; four aunts, Donna Mattingly, Martha Morrison, Judy Summers and Cathy Metcalf; and several cousins. Memorial services will be held Feb. 24 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Hager Funeral Home with Rev. Willard Knipp officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Feb. 24 after 10 a.m. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Jake Selter Memorial Fund, c/o Meade County Bank, 2175 Bypass Road, Brandenburg, KY 40108.
