Lawrence A. Collinsworth, 77, Radcliff, died April 1, 2008, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. He was a member of the Main Post Chapel. He retired from the U.S. Army and civil service at Fort Knox. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Collinsworth, and two sons, Gunther A. Collinsworth and Denny Collinsworth. Mr. Collinsworth is survived by his wife, Heidemarie Collinsworth, Radcliff; a daughter, Petra Collinsworth-Dalton, Elizabethtown; three sons, Willi Collinsworth, Colorado Springs, Colo., Klaus Collinsworth, San Antonio, Texas, and William T. Collinsworth, Portland, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; a brother, Floyd Collinsworth, Colfax, Wash.; and two sisters, June Fisher, Collinsville, Okla., and Margaret Howard, London. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. April 4 from the chapel of Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Radcliff with Chaplain LTC James M. Lewis officiating. Burial was in the North Hardin Memorial Gardens in Radcliff. Friends may call at the funeral home April 3 from 6-8 p.m. and April 4 beginning at noon.
