WILBERT D. ‘BILL’ TYLER

Wilbert D. “Bill” Tyler, 82, Radcliff, died May 13, 2008, at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown.

Staff Sgt. Tyler retired from the U.S. Army, a veteran of the Vietnam and Korean wars, and was awarded a Purple Heart. He was a member of the Military Order of Purple Heart; V.F.W. and the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Tyler.

Mr. Tyler is survived by three daughters, Hazel (Luther) Gary, Radcliff, Karyn (Jeffery) Drake, Richmond, Va., and Gladys Tyler, Denver, Colo.; seven grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held May 17 at 10 a.m. from the chapel of Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home, Radcliff, with Pastor Jeffery Drake officiating. Burial will be in the North Hardin Memorial Gardens, Radcliff, with military honors. Friends may call at the funeral home May 16, 6-8 p.m., and after 9 a.m. May 17. There will be Military Order of Purple Heart service from the funeral home May 16 at 7 p.m.
