WILLIAM C. ‘BILL’ BENNETT

William C. “Bill” Bennett, 76, Paducah, died July 26, 2008, in Paducah.

He owned and operated Bill Bennett’s Small Engine Repair in Paducah for 22 years, was a member of “The Eagles” with the VFW in Kevil, and an avid fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Delores Sutika.

Mr. Bennett is survived by three daughters, Peggy (David) Sturgeon, Bowling Green, Shelia Joan Bennett, Brandenburg, and Susie (Allen) Bennett Fenwick, Springfield; two sisters, Sharon (Roger) Baum and Joanne (Herb) Brabandt, both of Louisville; five grandchildren, Maranda Burkhart and Brayden Scott Burkhart, Aaron, Sarah and Jordan Sturgeon; one great-grandchild, Emma Belle Sturgeon; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held July 29 at 7 p.m. from the chapel of Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home with Rev. David Sturgeon officiating.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Lourdes Hospice of Paducah.
