VIRGINIA LOIS BRUNER EMBRY

Virginia Lois Bruner Embry, 81, Toledo, Ill., died Aug. 7, 2008, at home. She was born March 22, 1927, in Meade County, the daughter of Homer James and Idell (Logsdon) Bruner.

She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Naomi Wilson.

Mrs. Embry is survived by her husband of 62 years, Chester Embry, Toledo, Ill.; seven children, Lamar (Debbie) Embry, Barbara (Jack) Burns, both of Toledo, Ill., Ralph (Paula) Embry, Ashmore, Ill., Allen (Edna) Embry, Arcola, Ill., Michael Embry, Charleston, Ill, Phyllis (Rodney) Madden, Newport, Maine, and Tammie Embry, Mattoon, Ill.; two brothers, Robert Leo (Joann) Bruner and Benny B. (Frances) Bruner, both of Brandenburg; two sisters, Marjorie Lamkin, Brandenburg, and Shirley Ann Covington, Jacksonville, Fla.; 23 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and another expected this month.

Funeral services were held Aug. 9 from the chapel of Edwards Funeral Home with Father Mike Haag officiating. Burial was in Arcola Cemetery.
