ROBERT EVANS SLOAN

Robert Evans Sloan, 74, Elizabethtown, died Sept. 9, 2008, at Masonic Homes of Kentucky.

Mr. Sloan was a proud Marine who served during the Korean War. He was a member of Wesley Hilltop Seniors.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Winifred Sloan; and a son, Aaron Alkire.

Mr. Sloan is survived by six children, Rosemarie Muller, Radcliff, Dave (Aleeta) Alkire, Blue Springs, Mo., Joey (Debbie) Alkir, Mastic, N.Y., Danny Alkire, Laredo, Texas, Harriet Whitehurst, Clarksville, Ind., and Darren Sloan, Lebanon; a brother, Donald Sloan, Phoenix, Md.; and 12 grandchildren.

Cremation was chosen.
