Joseph E. Richardson, 62, Louisville, died Sept. 10, 2008, at Baptist Hospital Northeast Hospice, LaGrange. He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky, a certified public accountant, founding partner of Richardson, Pennington & Skinner and Kentucky and Indiana Land companies. He was a longtime member of Southeast Christian Church, where he served as a deacon. He also served on the boards of the Christian Academy of Louisville, dePaul School and Lindsey Wilson College. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Marie Richardson; a sister, Daphine Larimore; and a brother, Wade F. Richardson. Mr. Richardson is survived by his wife of 41 years, Becky Mitcham Richardson; two children, Jo Lyn Vowels and Jason (Daniela) Richardson; two grandchildren, Ela Alexandra and Seth Russell Richardson; two sisters, Wallace Ann Cox, Loys Tobin; his father-in-law, Ralph Mitcham; three brothers-in-law, Tom (Carla) Mitcham, Dave (Sue) Mitcham, Steve Mitcham; and many dear nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 12, at Southeast Christian Church, 920 Blankenbaker Parkway, Louisville. Friends may call at the Hager Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 13. Burial will be at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, in the Richardson Family Cemetery.
