ROY THOMAS BOLIN Roy Thomas Bolin, 62, Hardinsburg, died Sept. 20, 2008. He was born in Martinsville, Ind., Aug. 16, 1946, the son of the late Raymond and Hettie Mae Roy Bolin. He was the owner and operator of B&B Produce in Hardinsburg, since April 1, 1975. He volunteered with Smiles Factory, a nonprofit organization that provides birthday parties for children in shelters. He was formerly employed by Horseshoe Casino, a former Hardinsburg VFW fire chief and EMT. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Freddie, Paul and Frank Bolin and a sister, Ruby Ritchey. Mr. Bolin is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary Rhoden Bolin, Hardinsburg; three children, Vicki (Pat) Lowe, Hardinsburg, Aimee (Daniel) Pantoja and R.T. Bolin, both of Louisville; three grandchildren, Megan and Autumn Lowe and Matthew Pantoja; two brothers; Daniel Ray Bolin, Beaver Dam and Raymond Bolin, Columbus, Ohio; four sisters, Virginia Sue Johnson, Greenfield, Ind., Betty Popplewell, Nashville, Ind., Rosaleen Rhoden, Fairland, Ind., and Helen Kneer, Martinsville, Ind. Funeral services were held Sept. 24 from the chapel of Trent-Dowell Funeral Home with Bro. Dale Edge officiating. Burial was in the Ivy Hill Cemetery.
