JAMES EDWARD ‘EDDIE’ DITTO

James Edward “Eddie” Ditto, 69, died Jan. 27, 2010, at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital in Hardinsburg. He was born May 20, 1940, in Meade County, to James Edward Ditto Sr. and Nannie Belle Banks Ditto.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, two sisters and a stepdaughter.

Mr. Ditto is survived by his wife, Fanny M. Ditto; six children, Morris (Jrbug) Duncan, Sandyhooks, Edward Dion Ditto, Pikesville, Christopher Ditto, Brandenburg, Minnie Warren, Radcliff, Margaret Surrell, Louisville, and Terra C. Ditto, Irvington; two brothers, Robert Ditto, Louisville, and Charles (Alene) Ditto, Irvington; five sisters, Mildred Ditto and Mabel Rodgers, both of Radcliff, Ruby Abel, Elizabethtown, Carol Lou Alexander, Ekron, and Judy Ditto, North Garrett; two stepdaughters, Bernice (Edward) Young, Irvington, and Theresa (William) Brown, Hardinsburg; 29 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Alexander Funeral Home in Irvington.
