DEREKE ANTHONY CHISM

Dereke Anthony Chism, 24, Guston, died tragically in an automobile accident, Feb. 28, 2010. He was born Oct. 1, 1986, in Louisville, to Debbie Barr Hurt, Guston, and Timothy Chism, Louisville. He was a 2005 graduate of Meade County High School and an avid hunter and fisherman.

Mr. Chism is survived by his mother, Debbie Barr Hurt; stepfather, Mike Hurt, Guston; father, Timothy Chism, Louisville; brother, John (Amanda) Chism, Louisville; grandmother, Wanda Patterson; grandparents, Blanche and E.T. Davidsson, Payneville; and many close friends and family.

Funeral services will be held March 3, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Payneville. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends and family may call at the chapel of the Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon
Funeral Home, March 2, from 1-9 p.m. and after 8 a.m. March 3.
