ROSE KATHLEEN CRAYCROFT MEDLEY

Rose Kathleen Craycroft Medley, 92, died Feb. 26, 2010, in Somerset. She was born to the late Anna Mae Cosby and John Martin Craycroft, Aug. 20, 1917, in Flaherty.

She was an active member of St. Brigid Catholic Church, Vine Grove, a devoted mother of three and grandmother of four. She was a kind and gentle woman who was loved by many.

She was preceded in death by her husbamd, Frank Lancaster Medley; and a grandson, Bryan Medley.

Mrs. Medley is survived by a sister, Juanita Schroering, Louisville; and three children, Kathleen Jerry Medley (Margie), Minneapolis, Minn., Sharon Medley Baldwin (Martin Schrednitz), Somerset, and Sue Medley Bitzer (Robert), Cincinnati, Ohio; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and lifelong friend, Louise Thompson Switzer, Elizabethtown.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 440 St. Martins Road, Flaherty, Ky., 40175.

A private service will be held on March 13, at 10 a.m. at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Cemetery. A reception will immediately follow at Doe Run Inn, 500 Doe Run Hotel Rd., Brandenburg, KY., 40108.

Funeral arrangements were handled by the Somerset Undertaking Company Cremation Service.
