FRANCIS T. ‘JACK’ UTLEY JR.
Francis T. “Jack” Utley Jr., 71, Vine Grove, died Feb. 24, 2010, at his home.
He was president of Owl Creek Construction, enabling him to pursue his career in developing, building and selling real estate. He was a longtime member of St. Brigid Catholic Church, Hardin County Board of Realtors and Lincoln Trail Home Builders Association. His favorite pastimes were fishing and Bluegrass music.
He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Allen Utley; and his parents, Francis T. and Gertrude Utley.
Mr. Utley is survived by his wife of 48 years, Charlotte Brown Utley; three daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie (Larry) Johns, Georgetown, Christa (William) Pelc, Vine Grove, and Starla (Chuck) Miller, Radcliff; a sister and brother-in-law, Martha (Ed) Green, Anaheim Hills, Calif.; his brother and sister-in-law, Charles (Linda) Utley, Mendota, Ill.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The Mass of Christian Burial was held Feb. 27, at St. Brigid Catholic Church in Vine Grove, with the Rev. Daniel L. Lincoln officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
