MARGARET E. NELSON

Margaret E. Nelson, 98, Vine Grove, died Aug. 8, 2010, at North Hardin Health and Rehabilitation Center in Radcliff.

She was a former owner of Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Vine Grove, a school teacher and retired from the finance department at Fort Knox. She was a member of Vine Grove United Methodist Church, Vine Grove Order of Eastern Star and the Hardin Memorial Hospital Auxiliary continuing to crochet caps for the newborn infants until recently.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Nelson.

Mrs. Nelson is survived by a nephew and his wife, Robert (Jean) Crain; two great-nieces, Cheryl Crain and Lynda Knowles; and two great-nephews, Jesse Waldrip and Jonathan Waldrip.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Aug. 11, from the chapel of Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Vine Grove, with the Rev. Johnny Craig officiating. Burial will be in the Vine Grove Cemetery.
Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Aug. 10, from 5 p.m.until 8 p.m. and on Aug. 11, beginning at 10 a.m.
