SPORTS Greenwave Invitational a success
Lady Wave golfers – learning every day Experience as a general concept comprises knowledge of or skill in or observation of some thing or some event gained through involvement in or exposure to that thing or event. The history of the word experience aligns it closely with the concept of experiment. This couldn’t be any more true for the 2008 Lady Wave golf team. With only five girls on the team – Cynthia Smith, Emily Miller, Jesse Adams, Alexa Adams and Karlea King – there is no room for error, but every day is truly a learning experience.
Blast from the past
Greenwaves struggle against Central Hardin Coming off two 18-hole tournaments to start the season, the Greenwave golf team competed in their first nine-hole match of the season Aug. 14 at Doe Valley Golf Course against Central Hardin High School.
Lady Waves fall to Central Hardin On Aug. 7, area prep golf for girls kicked off their season. The first match of the year can sometimes be the hardest one to execute, and the Meade County Lady Wave golf team found this to be very true. Matched up against Central Hardin, winners of the state title in 2005 and 2006 and runner-up in 2007, the Lady Waves tried to swing their way to an early victory.
