Meade PZ approves one rezoning request By SANDRA STONE The Meade County Planning and Zoning Commission held a brief meeting Nov. 16 for the purpose of hearing a single rezoning request by Wayne Weber. The 13.760-acre parcel on Meade Springs Road was originally zoned R-4 when planning and zoning was adopted. In 1999, the property, which originally consisted of 28 acres, was rezoned from R-4 to A-2. Weber has subdivided the 13.760 acres off the original acreage and requested the rezoning from A-2 to R-1 for that parcel. Findings of fact indicated the request was in agreement with the county’s comprehensive plan. Sonja Redmon moved to recommend approval of the rezoning to Fiscal Court. On a second by Mark Garverich, all were in favor. As the December meeting is close to Christmas, Garverich moved to hold a special called meeting Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. instead of its regular day – Dec. 21. On a second by Allen Flaherty, all were in favor. Information for this article was gathered by report. Click Here to Go Back
