Greenwaves avoid scare from Breck, 46-35
The Meade County boys’ basketball team received a scare in the first round of the 11th District tournament on Feb. 27 from Breckinridge County, but the Greenwaves held on to a slim second-quarter lead for the duration of the game to advance, 46-35.

Despite only holding a five-point lead over Hancock County at halftime, the Meade County Lady Wave basketball team rode a defensive stand in the third quarter to a 53-40 win over the Lady Hornets for the 11th District championship on March 1.
