Wheaton signs with Lindsey Wilson

Friday the 13th may have been an unlucky day for some, but according to Lindsey Wilson assistant coach Debbie McGuinness, it was a lucky day for the Blue Raider girls’ soccer team. Lucky because Meade County senior Susan Wheaton had just signed her letter of intent to join the program with coaches, administrators and family on hand.

Meade County tennis teams fall to Central Hardin

The Meade County tennis teams traveled to Central Hardin on April 12, with the boys and girls both falling, 5-0.

Lady Waves fall to Breck in return from Gulf Shores

The Meade County softball team (6-7) went to extra innings at Breckinridge County on April 11, but the Lady Waves could not overcome errors, allowing the game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth to fall, 2-1.

Baseball drops two to E-town and Holy Cross
Greenwaves hoping to see hitting ‘come around’ in district play

While it looked as though the Meade County baseball team’s (2-9) pitching and defense may lift it past Elizabethtown on April 13 for six innings, the Panthers came away with the win, 2-1, on a Greenwave error in the bottom of the seventh.

Area youth to participate in Jr. Olympic Skills

Corydon, IND. – Local youngsters between the ages of 8 and 13 have the opportunity to participate in the Jr. Olympic Skills Competition. This free grassroots youth participation program allows boys and girls, competing separately, the opportunity to showcase their athletic abilities in four athletic events – basketball, soccer, tennis and track and field. The program is designed to encourage youth participation in sports while promoting sportsmanship.
