August Is National Truancy Awareness Month

August is National Truancy Awareness Month, and Kentucky has a problem. According to a recent study released by the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) in August of last year, over 60 percent of Kentucky students were truant and approximately 40 percent were chronically absent.
