Greenwave Edges Out a Win

The Greenwave soccer team began their season on Aug. 14 in their home opener against the Nelson County Cardinals. Both teams were evenly matched, making it harder for the offense to get going. It was the Greenwave who were able to get on the board first. Midway through the first half, senior Lei’vi Stewart was able to get a foot on the ball after beating his defender and placed it in the back of the net.
