Greenwaves Come Up Short

On September 21, the Greenwaves’ football team traveled to John Hardin High school to take on the Bulldogs. The Greenwave defense made a quick statement that they were there to play after only two minutes into the game. Junior defensive back, Mason Burnett, stepped in front of a Bulldog receiver to pick off a pass from Bulldog quarterback Justin Russell, taking it back 50-yards for the pick six. After a Bulldog offsides, before the extra point, the Greenwaves elected to go for the two-point conversion, which was stopped just short of the goal line. The Greenwaves would have to settle for a six-point lead.
