Arrest made after hit-and-run collision

According to the Brandenburg Police Department, on July 29, officers were dispatched to a hit and run accident on Hillcrest Dr. in Brandenburg. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke to Kimberly Wood, the driver of one of the involved vehicles. Wood’s SUV had received severe damage to the passenger side and was over an embankment off the left side of the shoulder. Woods advised a white wrecker or truck with a flatbed had backed out of the driveway as she was traveling west on Hillcrest Dr., colliding with the right side of her vehicle, then pushing her over the embankment. The truck took off. Officers were able to recover a front bumper cover, a wooden board used as railing on the flatbed, a rear marker light, and a hide a key in a Bell case.
