New coach, same goals

The 2019 Meade County High School Ladywave Soccer team will start the 2019 season with a New Head Coach, David Craycroft, who knows that he has some big shoes to fill. Craycroft is well known to the girls as he comes over from being the Assistant coach on the Greenwave Soccer team, and his wife Lorie has been the Ladywave JV coach for the last few seasons. Under outgoing head coach Dan Shook, the Ladywave won six District Championships and were Regional runner up many times, but the title of Regional Championship still alludes them.
“It is an honor to be chosen to lead this team. Coach Shook built a great program here, which I hope to continue to build on,” Craycroft said, “I told the AD (Athletic Director Todd Clanton) when I interviewed for this job, that our first goal is to bring the school a Regional Championship. We have the talent in place to do so, and with our senior class imparting their knowledge and experiences with the younger players, we’ll only get better.”
