MARC & Anchor House meet the needs of “remarkable” citizens in Meade County

Nestled above the embankment just beyond the curve in the Brandenburg Bypass is an inconspicuous brick building that houses some “remarkable” people. In 1984, the Meade County Association for “Remarkable” Citizens (MARC), with the help of Meade County Fiscal Court and Communicare, secured grants to build a group home that provides housing for eight special needs community members. The home, Anchor House, was completed and ready to serve the special needs adults from the surrounding area.
