Woodshop at the Meade County Detention Center

The Meade County Detention Center has a unique and special learning program for the inmates there. Started about four years ago, the Woodshop Program has grown and is now being emulated and studied by other jails in the state. This program allows “level 1 and level 2” inmates with good behavior to spend some time of their day learning the proper and safe way to make almost anything out of wood.
