Witkovskie spells her way to first place in the bee

The Meade County School District held its annual spelling bee competition in the auditorium at MCHS on Feb. 5, representing schools from throughout the County. Above: (L to R) Lily Hewski, a 7th grader at SPMS, came in third place, Kari Hardesty, a 6th grader at Payneville Elementary, placed second; Phinn Witkovskie, a fifth grader at Flaherty Elementary, won the competition.
