Deadly pursuit crosses three counties and two states

Late Sunday afternoon at approximately 5 p.m., a police chase that began in Breckinridge County crossed into Meade County. After winding through Brandenburg, the suspects continued across the Matthew E. Welsh Memorial Bridge into Harrison County, IN where it ended just outside Corydon, with one suspect dead and another in critical condition.
Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Bruce Anthony stated the pursuit began near Harned with a possible rolling domestic dispute. Anthony said the intitial pursuit was terminated due to conditions becoming unsafe, but a second pursuit began in the Irvington area where a cruiser was struck and speeds climbed to 100 mph.
