Lt. Gen. Kirjath “K.D.” D. Toney, 79, was born Sept. 9, 1933, in New Stithton in Meade County. He was the eldest son of six children born to George D. and Aretta Hair Toney. His mother was a homemaker and his father was a member of the U.S. Army’s horse cavalry.
