ROBERT PAUL LANCASTER

Robert Paul Lancaster, 81, Flaherty, died May 14, 2006, at home.

He was a faithful church and choir member at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church and was retired from civil service and farming.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joshua and Anna Lancaster; two brothers, Charles McCracken Lancaster and Joseph E. Lancaster; two sisters, Mildred Lusk and Mary Helen Edelen; and a granddaughter, Christina Hardesty.

Mr. Lancaster is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Lancaster; three daughters, Anna Marie Lancaster, Lexington, Mary Jo (Tommy) Hardesty, Brandenburg, and Martha Jane (David) Wachter, Versailles; two sons, Paul Martin (Theresa) Lancaster, Irvington, and Jerry (Traci) Lancaster, Goshen; two sisters, Sister Annalita “Rita” Lancaster, Mt. St. Joseph, Owensboro, and Emma Florence Itschner, Owensboro; a brother, Patrick J. Lancaster, Louisville; 13 grandchildren, Emily Lancaster, Joshua Lancaster, Kyle Lancaster, Craig Hardesty, Kelly Hardesty Whelan, John David Hardesty, Amy Hardesty, Marsha Hardesty, Jason Wachter, Megan Lancaster, Nataley Lancaster, Zachary Lancaster and Emma Lancaster; and four great-grandchildren, Aubrey Hardesty, Garrett Hardesty, Olivia Wachter and Jackson Lee.

Mass of Christian burial was held May 16 from St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, Flaherty, with Rev. Paul Beach officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery, directed by Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home, Vine Grove.
