LARRY ROBERT “JINGLES” LEE Former Irvington Police Chief Larry Robert “Jingles” Lee, 64, Irvington, died July 14, 2007. He was born Sept. 7, 1942, in Vine Grove, the son of the late Robert E. Lee and Hazel Cronin Lee. He served as an officer and police chief of Irvington for 23 years, was employed as emergency dispatcher in Meade County for 12 years, and was a member of Irvington Baptist Church and Vine Grove Masonic Lodge #603. Mr. Lee is survived by his wife of 36 years, Phyllis Beeler Lee; his mother-in-law, Bessie Beeler; and a host of other relatives – sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces and nephews. Cremation was chosen. A memorial service will be held July 19 at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home, Irvington. Friends may call at the funeral home July 19, noon to 3 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the charity of your choice.
