AGNES PAULINE ‘POLLY’ POLSTON Agnes Pauline “Polly” Polston, 85, Tell City, Ind., died Nov. 25, 2007, at Perry County Memorial Hospital. She was born July 22, 1922, in Concordia, the daughter of the late Thomas A. and Mary Elizabeth Hartley Flaherty. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and the Red Hat Society. She spent most of her working life as a homemaker, though she worked at several area restaurants. She and her late husband managed Hoosier Heights Country Club in the early 1970s. She also served as a caregiver to the elderly. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl Polston; and three brothers, Carlyle, Leonard and Clyde Flaherty. Mrs. Polston is survived by a son, Charles L. Polston, Radcliff; two daughters, Betty Bopst, Glen Burnie, Md., and Mari Schneider, Holland, Ind.; nine grandchildren, Tim Polston, Charles Polston Jr., Tracy Eck, Shelly Rains, Theresa LeBaron, J.P. Mahoney, Joe Mahoney, Jason Schneider and Jacob Schneider; 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, Gerald Flaherty; a sister, Vestina Rudolph; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Nov. 28 at 10 a.m. CST from St. Paul Catholic Church in Tell City, Ind., with Rev. Timothy Sweeney officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, directed by Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home in Tell City, Ind. Friends may call at the funeral home Nov. 27, 2-8 p.m., and Nov. 28, 8-30 to 9:30 a.m. A parish prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 27 from the funeral home.
