CHESTER LAWRENCE ALLEN

Chester Lawrence Allen, 71, West Point, died June 14, 2010, at his home. He was born Dec. 18, 1938, to the late Joseph Albert and Ida Mae Allen in Andyville.

He was a heavy equipment operator for the Louisville Water Company for 31 years and enjoyed going to his McDonald’s Breakfast Club.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Mr. Allen is survived by his wife, Marcy DeCamillis Hagan Allen; five children, Jeannie Campbell, Greg (Natalia) Allen, Johnny Allen, Becky (Glen) Goatley, Amy (Richard) Whitlow; two stepchildren, Kenny Hagan and Terence (Jennifer) Hagan; nine grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and brothers and sisters, Elizabeth Mahoney, Wanda (Connie) Branson, Jimmy Allen, Mary Cain, Louis (Faye) Allen, Nellie Warren and Raymond Allen.

A celebration of his life was conducted June 19, at Arch L. Heady Resthaven Chapel, with private entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park.

Expressions of sympathy are suggested to the family to help with funeral expenses in lieu of flowers.
