CHARLES WILLIAM
DILLANDER JR.
Charles William Dillander Jr., 64, Vine Grove, died March 7, 2010, at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Louisville.
He was a harness horse driver, trainer and owner working at Louisville Downs in Louisville and Red Mile in Lexington.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles William Dillander Sr., and a brother, Jerry Dillander.
Mr. Dillander is survived by his wife, Becky Dillander, Vine Grove; three sons and daughters-in-law, Chris (Sharlene) Dillander, Vine Grove, Jason (Heather) Dillander, Anderson, Ind., and Kenny (Kelli) Dillander, Shepherdsville; a daughter and son-in-law, Darnell (Doug) Wilhjelm ,Shepherdsville; his mother, Mary Elizabeth Dillander, Louisville; two brothers, Ron Dillander, Indiana, and Steve Dillander, Louisville; two sisters, Jan Nalley and Maggie Bistarkey, both of Louisville; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. March 11, from the chapel of Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Vine Grove, with Bro. George Blevins officiating. Burial will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, with military honors.
Friends and family may call at the funeral home on March 10, from 5 until 8 p.m. and March 11, beginning at 9:30 a.m.
