CURTIS LEE ABELL
Curtis Lee Abell, 79, Brandenburg, died March 16, 2010, at his residence. He was born Jan. 16, 1931, in Brandenburg, to the late Samuel and Laura Pipes Abell.
He was a member and past secretary and treasurer of the Brandenburg Church of God, a veteran of the Korean War where he served in the U.S. Air Force and was retired from Olin Chemical Doe Run Plant.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Abell; and three sisters, Mary Irene Skaggs, Nanny Boling and Hester Shaw.
Mr. Abell is survived by his wife, Corinne Abell, Brandenburg; two daughters, Lora (John Holt) Abell ,Nolensville, Tenn., and Carol Abell, Johnson City, Tenn.; and many nieces and nephews.
The family has chosen cremation and a memorial service was held March 21. Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
