SARAH CATHERINE ‘KATHY’ SPINK

Sarah Catherine “Kathy” Spink, 60, Brandenburg, died March 17, 2010, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, Ind. She was born Dec, 21, 1949, in Greensburg, the daughter of James and Bessie Rodgers Oakes.

She owned Kathy’s Restaurant in Brandenburg for many years. She fought a long, hard battle with her health for many years and will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, J.B., Wendall and Allen Oakes; and two sisters, Geraldine Adams and Norene Curry.

Mrs. Spink is survived by her husband, Randall Spink; two sons, Paul (Becky) Jupin and Tim Spink, Brandenburg; three stepchildren, Debbie (Mike) Rockwood, Guston, Darlene (Jeff) Lusk, Flaherty, and Randy Spink, Louisville; two sisters, Doris Jordan, Brandenburg, and Lou Arms, Irvington; six grandchildren; and five stepgrandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. March 23, from the chapel of Hager Funeral Home, with the Rev. Nathan Oakes officiating. Burial will be in Cap Anderson Cemetery.

Friends and family may call at the funeral home after 9 a.m. March 23.
