HILDEGARD ‘HILDE’ MARGARETE
KATZENMEIER CHRISTOPHER

Hildegard “Hilde” Margarete Katzenmeier Christopher, 79, Bradenton, Fla., died March 14, 2010. She was born April 2, 1930, in Bensheim-Auerbach, Germany, to the late Adam and Wilhelmine Nungesser Katzenmeier.

She lived and worked in the Fort Knox area for many years and retired from Fort Knox where she worked for AFEES as a buyer. She was also a member of the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Elizabethtown, before she moved to Florida.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Newton Christopher; a daughter, Sharon Christopher; a grandson, Aaron Christopher; and two brothers, Heinz and Walter Katzenmeier.

Mrs. Christopher is survived by two sons, Robert W. “Bob” (Judi) Christopher, Ekron, and Steven (Suzanne) Christopher, North Carolina; two brothers, Otto (Ingrid) Katzenmeier of Germany, and Klaus (Renate) Katzenmeier of Canada; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held April 10, at 4 p.m. from the chapel of Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home in Brandenburg.

Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 2-5 p.m. April 10.
