ALMA JO BARGER GOODMAN

Alma Jo Barger Goodman, 80, formerly of Mystic, died March 28, 2010. She was born Sept. 20, 1929, to the late Abe Lincoln and Georgia Marie Stiff Roberts.

She drove a school bus for Breckinridge County schools for 22 years, worked at Brown and Williamson Tobacco Company in Louisville for several years and also worked at the Masonic Orphan and Widows Home in Louisville for nine years. She was a former member of Dry Valley Baptist Church, a member of the Cloverleaf Baptist Church in Louisville, and a member of the Elizabethtown Red Hat Club.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Tommy Barger and Kenneth L. Goodman.

Mrs. Goodman is survived by a son, Thomas (Mildred) Barger; two stepdaughters, Denise McMillen and Annie Lockard; two brothers, Gordan Roberts and Ralph Rose; a niece; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held April 2, from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home in Irvington. Burial was in Dry Valley Cemetery in Dry Valley.
