MICHAEL LAMAR PADGETT
Michael Lamar Padgett, 50, Vine Grove, died April 11, 2010, at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was a member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Flaherty. He was a farmer, loved his grandchildren and was an avid John Deere fan.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hazel and Aliene Padgett and James Cletus and Lillian Powers.
Mr. Padgett is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Monica Padgett, Vine Grove; three children, Rachel (Travis) Barr, Battletown, Matthew (Molly) Padgett, Vine Grove, and Jessica (Stephen) Nevitt, Payneville; his parents, Lamar and Punkie Padgett, Rineyville; seven siblings, Jimmy (Judy) Padgett, Payneville, Johnny (Susan) Padgett, Flaherty, Joe (Darla) Padgett, Stephensport, Julie Oldham and her fiancée Mike Hinds, Elizabethtown, Bill (Connie) Padgett, Hodgenville, Sue (Lamar) Hardesty, Rineyville, Chuck (Dana) Padgett, Rineyville; five grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, family and a host of friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. April 14, at the St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Flaherty, with the Rev. A.L. Chandler officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Martin Church Cemetery.
Friends and family may call at the chapel of the Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home from noon until 8 p.m. April 13. There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. April 13 at the funeral home.
