WILLIAM JOSEPH ‘WILL’ YATES

William Joseph “Will” Yates, 19, Rineyville, died April 4, 2010, at his home in Rineyville.

He graduated from North Hardin High School in 2009, where he was on the baseball and soccer teams. Will was a member of St. Brigid Catholic Church and a member of the church basketball team. He also played on the Eagles intramural football team at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College, where he was a student. He was employed by Kroger at Towne Drive in Elizabethtown.

Mr. Yates is survived by his parents, Jody and Becky Yates; his mother, Michelle Yates; two brothers, Jake Yates and Cal Yates; two sisters, Morgan Yates and Amber Yates, all of Elizabethtown; grandparents, Tony and Tina Yates, Roy and Carolyn Meals, all of Rineyville, Cindy and Leon Skeeters, Vine Grove, Jim and Linda Hagan, Louisville, and David and Lou Ashley, Winchester, Ind., great grandparents Barbara Wolfe, Muncie, Ind., Lemon and Jane Ashley, Winchester, Ind., and Art and Jimmie Wissing, Louisville; many aunts, uncles, cousins; and his girlfriend, Richelle Wagner, Radcliff.

The Mass of Christian Burial was held April 9, at St. Brigid Catholic Church in Vine Grove, with the Rev. Daniel Lincoln officiating. Burial was in the St. Brigid Cemetery in Vine Grove.
