EDWARD JOSEPH SCHMUCK
Edward Joseph Schmuck, 67, Elizabethtown, died April 15, 2010, at his residence.
He was formerly from Owensboro and Flaherty and was a member of St. James Catholic Church. He was retired from civil service at Fort Knox after 33-plus years and was an Air Force veteran. He was a member of Elizabethtown Area Baseball Hall of Fame, a former member of Tri-State Officials
Association and a former member of Elizabethtown Area Baseball Commission. He was an avid supporter of Elizabethtown High School, especially the Lady Panther basketball team and the Lady Panther volleyball team.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Margaret Schmuck.
Mr. Schmuck is survived by his wife of 45 years, Barbara Crutcher Schmuck; two sons, Scott Edward Schmuck, Elizabethtown, and Joseph Eugene (Cathy) Schmuck, Cincinnati; a sister, Mary Schmuck, RSM, Nazareth; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda and Don Granneman, St. Louis; three grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and lots of dear friends.
Funeral services were held April 19, at St. James Catholic Church, with the Rev. Chuck Walker officiating. Burial was in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff.
