1ST SGT. (RET.) VAN O. BAGGETT

1st Sgt. (Ret.) Van O. Baggett, 85, Brandenburg, died May 22, 2010, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jonas and May Baggett and his first wife, Annie Baggett.

Mr. Baggett is survived by his wife, Aleene Baggett, Brandenburg; two sons, Clifford Baggett, Byesville, Ohio, and David Baggett, New Albany, Ind.; two brothers, John Baggett, Missouri, and Eddie Baggett, Arizona, a sister, Mabel Morningstar, California; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren,

Funeral services were held May 24, from New Brandenburg Baptist Church, with the Rev. Tony Yates officiating. Burial was in Buck Grove Cemetery, with military honors. Arrangements were handled by Hager Funeral Home.
