LINDA SUE WALZ

Linda Sue Walz, 69, Brandenburg, died June 25, 2010, at Norton Hospital in Louisville. She was born Aug. 2, 1940, in Newport, Ark., to the late William C. and Mildred B. Lawrence Shipp.

She was a retired schoolteacher, who taught school for over 30 years and taught at Ekron Elementary School for over 26 years. She was also a member of the Hill Grove Church of Christ. She loved spending time at her and her fiancé; Ed Bickett’s condo in Destin, Fla., good food and good movies, reading and celebrating holidays with her two sons, Barret and Jason, and other family members and friends.

Ms. Walz is survived by two sons, Barret Walz, Chicago, Ill., and Jason Walz, Brooklyn, N.Y.,; a brother Bill Shipp, Franklin, Tenn.; and her fiancé, Ed Bickett, Flaherty.

Funeral services were held June 29, from the chapel of Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home.
