‘TOMMY’ SMILEY

Benny Thomas “Tommy” Smiley, 59, Lodiburg, died July 19, 2010. He was born May 14, 1951, to the late Preston Smiley.

He was a Marine in Vietnam. He was in the Air Force and in the Army National Guard. He was also a Kentucky Colonel.

Mr. Smiley is survived by his mother, Wilma B. Smiley; five children, James Smiley, Suzanne (Troy) Dennison, Brandenburg, Hannah (Wayne) Centers, Highland Heights, and Kathlina Heard and Bridgette Boser, both of Bardstown; two sisters, Bonnie (Kenneth) French, Lodiburg, and Connie (Robert) Laslie, Hardinsburg; and two brothers: J.E. Smiley, Tennessee, and Ray (Virginia) Smiley, Brandenburg.
Funeral services were held July 24, at the Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Lodiburg. Burial was in Walnut Grove Cemetery. The Alexander Funeral Home in Irvington handled the arrangements.
