ELNORA SALMON

Elnora Salmon, 87, Vine Grove, died Sept. 2, 2010, at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville.

She was a 70-year resident of Vine Grove and a member of Vine Grove Order of Eastern Star and Valley View Baptist Church. She retired from Ireland Army Hospital in Fort Knox. She will be loved and missed greatly by the entire family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Salmon, and a son, Ted A. Salmon.
Mrs. Salmon is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sheila (Estill) Gross, Casselberry, Fla.; two sons, Kent (Joyce) Salmon, Louisville, and Kevin Salmon, Vine Grove; a brother and his wife, Robert (Winnie) Watkins, Chattanooga, Tenn.; a sister, Louise Whitescarver, Lewisburg; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Sept. 7, from the chapel of the Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Vine Grove, with the Rev. Ron Burgess officiating. Burial was in the North Hardin Memorial Gardens in Radcliff.
