JOSEPH TERRY SIMS

Joseph Terry Sims, 60, New Albany, Ind., formerly of Big Spring, died Aug. 26, 2010, after an illness, at Kindred Hospital in Louisville.

He was a graduate of Flaherty High School and Western Kentucky University and worked for several years as a civil engineer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse B. and Shelly Hager Sims.

Mr. Sims is survived by his wife, Doris; a son, Joe Sims; two stepchildren, Melissa (Eric) Hubbard and Chad Stockdale; two brothers, Paul (Sharon) Sims, Somerset, and John (Diane) Sims, Clarksville, Ind.; two sisters, Susan (Charlie) Davis, Lexington, and Cindy (Doug) Kasey, Big Spring; two stepgrandchildren; a special aunt, Helen Hager; uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service was held Aug. 29, in New Albany.
