DANNY E. EMBRY

Danny E. Embry, 53, Brandenburg, died Sept. 1, 2010, at his residence.

He was a former Scout leader and volunteer for the Meade County Fire Department.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sol “Smokey” Embry.

Mr. Embry is survived by three children, Josh Embry, Elizabethtown, Daniel Embry, Brandenburg and Geri Embry, Muldraugh; his mother, Nellie Embry, Brandenburg, two sisters, Sharon Newton, Guston, and Linda Nevitt, Brandenburg; a brother, Darryl Embry, Spring Hill, Fla.; three stepdaughters, Stacy Shirley, Amy Shirley and Grace Straney; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Sept. 8, from the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home. Burial was in Garnettsville Cemetery.
