DAVID LEE HAIL SR.

David Lee Hail Sr., 62, of Suffolk, Va., died Oct. 9, 2010. He was born in Louisville, June 15, 1948, to the late Noel Thomas and Edith Mac Galloway Hail.

He was a Vietnam Army veteran, a former member of West Broadway Baptist Church in Louisville, a former plant manager at Carastar in Georgetown and was currently the operations manager at Sonoco in Suffolk.

Mr. Hail is survived by his wife, Janie; two sons, David L. (Betsy) Hail Jr., Lexington, and Tommy A. (Jennifer) Hail, Brandenburg; two brothers, Bob Hail, Nashville, Tenn., and Lloyd Hail, Louisville; two stepchildren, Jeremy Willis, Suffolk and Sabrina (Jason) Taylor, Georgetown; five grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren.

Funeral services were held Oct. 13, from the chapel of Tucker, Yocum and Wilson Funeral Home in Georgetown. with the Rev. Rick Hamilton officiating. Burial was in Georgetown Cemetery. Pallbearers were David Hail Jr., Tommy Hail, Craig Watson, Jason Taylor, James Lee King and Adam Lee King.
