AGNES ELEANOR BARGER
Agnes Eleanor Barger, 84, Brandenburg, died Oct. 12, 2010, at her residence.
She was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, of the Meade County Homemakers and was also a co-founder and former board member of the MARC school in Brandenburg, which served her daughter, Brenda and other special needs children. Eleanor also loved to devote her time to cooking, gardening, canning and quilting.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Barger; a granddaughter, Stacy Fackler Lowman; and several brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Barger is survived by her husband of 65 years, J.T. Barger; five children, Joe (Marcella) Barger, Neal (Alice) Barger, both of Brandenburg, Elaine (David) Vowels, Marla Kay (Larry) Fackler, both of Flaherty, and Rick Barger, Guston; two sisters, Beatrice Kleeber, Valley Station, and Marjorie Foushee, Fern Creek; a sister-in-law, Georgia Lee Whelan Hardesty, Shepherdsville; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Oct. 15, from St. Mary Magdalen of Pazzi in Payneville. Burial was in St. George Cemetery in Brandenburg.
Arrangements were handled by Hager Funeral Home.
