‘GLADYDOO’ RICHARDSON

Gladys Marie “Gladydoo” Richardson, 77, Irvington, died Oct. 11, 2010. She was born Oct. 28, 1932, to Eula Mae and Elijah Hamp Mitcham.

She was a member of the Eastern Star. She was talented in music and art and shared her passion for music by playing the piano and organ for the United Methodist Church in Irvington for many years. Her love of art led her to open the Richardson’s Florist in Irvington.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Joseph Edwin Richardson, and a son, Michael Richardson.

Mrs. Richardson is survived by a son, Joe E. (Kim Michele) Richardson; a brother, Carl B (Doris) Mitcham; and three grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were handled by the Alexander Funeral Home in Irvington.
