JACKIE BOY PARRIGIN

Jackie Boy Parrigin, 67, Vine Grove, died Nov. 14, 2010, at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville.

He was born and raised in Edmonton and attended Metcalfe County High School. He enlisted in the Army at the age of 16 and retired with 24 years of service. He was a veteran of Korea and Vietnam and also served several tours of duty in Germany.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Alma Gibson Parrigin, and a daughter, Jacqulina Theresa Parrigin.

Mr. Parrigin is survived by a daughter, Amanda Parrigin, Sebring, Fla.; a son, Michael Parrigin, Germany; two sisters, Lorrene (Max) Stroud, Greenville, Texas, and Betty Jeffries, Greensburg; two nephews; a granddaughter; and a host of cousins and friends.

The committal service was held Nov. 18, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, with military honors.

Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
